Another lovely week in the Courtney household even though we have said goodbye to afternoon naps (to try to improve our sleeping time at night) and therefore as a result have a rather grumpy 2 year old and disappointingly not much more sleep! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! It was getting to the point where afternoon naps were disrupting our day and so it's been nice to just go out and about without worrying about when Joe's sleeping but we have had to keep him going with exciting activities to keep him awake! On this particular day i think we over did it and he fell asleep in his dinner plate!

On the upside though i have had my first order of sock animals for Christmas, and after a very successful open house this morning an unexpected order of cupcakes-this was quite encouraging as they were my first batch!!! So my shop is on the horizon and i even dreamed about it last night, lots of pretty cups and saucers, serving cupcakes in nice boxes and of course my new till ping pinging on the counter!

Over the past few years i have been taking my cards to a couple of fairs/coffee mornings in a little village a few country lanes away and in that few years have completely fallen in love with it. It's got the most perfect little primary school and the general 'village' atmosphere is beautiful, i swear they all keep chickens and are completely self sufficiant...sorry back to blog...anyway I was there on Friday for a coffee morning in the village hall and this chap with bright red braces brought in the most amazing Dehlias i have ever seen and then he brought in some more and more until the the little hall was just lit up with them! I bought two bunches before anyone else got a look in (sorry to those who missed out but they do look very nice in my living room) and Paul even bought a plant so hopefully we can grow our own next year! I begged Paul to drive out there again this afternoon and spotted a house for sale so who knows maybe it's meant to be for the Courtney's to set up home in ------not quite ready to let you know where it is yet! - here's completely, utterly and terribly hoping so!(in the words of Lola)
