It's raining...not sure for how long as i have been in a dark box shaped building all day and actually haven't seen daylight since lunch time but hey it's all fun in 'the grotto' this Christmas. I've had a really good day to be truthful and it's been a continuation of my lovely weekend. (not including the clocks changing-please take a moment to remember the parents of toddlers who sleep when it's dark and wake when it's light...hello 5am!)

Pyjama Party Woo Hoo!

I took Paul on his first trip to 'Refurnish' on Saturday - one of mine and Joe's favourite places to go at the end of the week and have a good rummage through old furniture and bric-a-brac. I'd seen a TV cabinate there a few day before, and seeing as our television has always looked like it's temporarily perched in the corner of the room ready to make a swift exit in the next advert break, i thought a piece of furniture made for no other reason than to hold 'a television' would maybe make it feel more at home in our living room. So anyway i took a very wary husband (due to alot of previous bargains i had brought home) along to see it. The cabinate was £40 - a bit steep in my opinion - so, we left with the TV cabinate and a new addition to the family-Daisy - shown below, both for £35, some excellent bartering skills learnt from one of my favourite people - Kirsty Alsop.

Let me introduce you to 'Daisy'

Yes, she needs a little work but i have great plans for her and all the things we'll do together...she's going to be my first company investment (along with the cash register of course, please see Post 1)and will hopefully help me with future delveries. Now Paul only bought her on the condition that i was not to use her until after the birth of our 2nd child (for those that don't know is due at the end of January) but seeing as she has two flat tyres and it's rained ever since we brought her home i haven't argued!

Here's how i'm hoping she might look when i've finished, mind you if you've seen my uniform you may understand why i might not go lime green and i have not the faintest idea on how to start renovating a bike but can't wait to get started... maybe when it's stopped raining! I will keep you updated with her progress and share my ideas with you along the way.
